1. MLB – New York Yankees at Kansas City Royals Moneyline (8/9/21)
The New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals game on Monday night went on for quite some time. In the top of the 9th inning, Luke Voit homered, giving the Yankees a 3-2 lead. However, the Yankees blew that lead when Kansas City’s Nicky Lopez singled and Whit Merrifield scored, tying the game at 3.
In the top of the 10th inning, the Yankees scored twice, but in the bottom of the 10th, the Royals retaliated, tying the game yet again. However, it was the top of the 11th where the action mattered most. DJ LeMahieu doubled, and Joey Gallo scored. 6-5 Yankees. Then, Brett Gardner reached on infield to single to second. Both LeMahieu and Tyler Wade scored. 8-5 Yankees. The Yankees defeated the Royals 8-6.
Bad beat for the Kansas City Royals moneyline bettors. As a matter of fact, 75 percent of the moneyline bets were on the Royals to defeat the Yankees on Monday. Extra innings are always tough…and when you get so close to the win multiple times, it’s even tougher.
2. MLB – Boston Red Sox at Toronto Blue Jays Moneyline (8/8/21)
George Springer. That’s really the only name you need to know about Sunday’s game between the Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays. The Red Sox led 8-6 heading into the top of the 8th inning. But the bottom of the 8th inning is where the Blue Jays made some magic. Well, one Blue Jay in particular made some magic.
Springer hit a homer! But it wasn’t just any ordinary homer, it was a go-ahead 3-run home run! Breyvic Valera and Reese McGuire both scored. The Blue Jays defeated the Red Sox 9-8. Unfortunate ending for the Red Sox, but props to Springer and the Blue Jays on an amazing finish.
