Bad Beats #42

Here’s a look at this week’s bad beats:
1. MLB – San Francisco Giants at Arizona Diamondbacks Moneyline (8/2/21)
The San Francisco Giants took on the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night, and it was certainly one that the D-Backs bettors won’t forget. In the bottom of the 7th inning, Drew Ellis grounded out to third and Kole Calhoun scored for Arizona. Then, Christian Walker doubled for the Diamondbacks and Asdrúbal Cabrera and Ketel Marter scored, tying the game 8-8.
The game was still tied 8-8 after the bottom of the 9th, forcing extra innings. However, in the top of the 10th inning, the San Francisco Giants dominated. Buster Posey doubled to deep left, and Brandon Crawford scored. Steven Duggar singled and then Posey scored, giving the Giants a 10-8 lead. But that wasn’t the end of it. Donovan Solano sacrificed, and Slater scored. The Giants defeated the Diamondbacks 11-8. Bad beat for those who bet the Arizona moneyline, but what a 10th inning for the Giants.
2. MLB – Philadelphia Phillies at Washington Nationals Moneyline (8/2/21)
It was an intense one in Washington on Monday night. The Washington Nationals led 3-2 going into the top of the 9th inning. However, the Philadelphia Phillies did some serious damage in the top of the 9th. Jean Segura doubled, and Ronald Torreyes scored. J.T. Realmuto singled and Travis Jankowski and Jean Segura scored. Bryce Harper and Realmuto scored, giving the Phillies a 7-3 lead.
In the bottom of the 9th inning, Carter Kieboom homered and Yadiel Hernández scored. This gave the Nationals two more runs, but the Phillies still won 7-5. Tough luck for the Nationals fans and bettors, but Phillies fans and bettors can go ahead and ring that bell.
