2. NBA – Cleveland Cavaliers at Washington Wizards (5/14/21 at 7pm)
The Washington Wizards have two regular-season games left. On Friday night, they will play the Cleveland Cavaliers at home. They just need one more win to make the NBA Play-In Tournament, and I have no doubt that they can defeat the Cavs. They are 8.5-point favorites heading into Friday night’s matchup. I like them at -8.5 and on the moneyline at -500.
As you know, Russell Westbrook has been unstoppable, recently breaking the record for the most career triple-doubles. I like him to score a triple-double at least once this weekend, which means he either has to do it against the Cavs or against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. I feel like it’s hard for Russ to not finish with triple-doubles.
3. NHL – Boston Bruins at Washington Capitals (5/15/21 at 7:15pm)
Can you believe that it’s already time for the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs? The seven-game series between the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals will start on Saturday night. The B’s and Caps met eight times during the regular season. The Bruins finished 4-2-2 over the Capitals in the regular season. That being said, I still like the Capitals to win on Saturday and to win the whole Game 1 series, even if it takes seven games.
